portrait I have over 25 years of experience in private practice treating adults, adolescents, and children. I strive to provide a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment for every client.  My goal is to provide a personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for.

Psychotherapy for adults: Most adults will experience depression and/or anxiety at some point in their lives. When individuals are dealing with stressors or life changes, mood shifts and behavior changes often arise. Stressors can be related to life transitions, relationship issues, personal struggles as well as global issues like the current pandemic

Psychotherapy for college students: College students face a unique set of challenges throughout their undergraduate years. The pressure to achieve academically is a primary stressors, but social pressures can also cause anxiety and depression. There is a risk of students developing unhealthy coping behaviors. Global issues are also impacting students who have experienced major disruptions to their college experience.

Sandtray Therapy: Sandtray therapy is a creative means of expressing emotions with figures, symbols, and objects. My office shelves hold a multitude of figures and miniatures that are meant to evoke feelings and emotions. Creativity and play can spark movement and open new pathways to resolving issues. Sandtray work often provides the "aha" moment and can provide a new perspective to the ongoing issues.

Psychotherapy for adolescents:  The cliche of adolescents being in turmoil is often true. Adolescence is a period of emotional ups and downs and many teenagers need help coping with overwhelming and confusing feelings. Support from family is not always accepted by adolescent, so therapy can provide a safe and objective outlet for struggling teens.

ADHD/ Executive Function Coaching:  Students diagnosed with ADHD can find college and graduate school particularly challenging for a number of reasons.  External structures and coping skills that have worked before may no longer be as effective.  As a ADHD coach, I work with individual students to identify their specific areas of weakness, as well as their strengths and tools they already possess.  The next step is developing goals based on the student's needs and skills and collaborating on a plan for how to meet these goals.  Developing new skills and enhancing established coping skills requires practice and input from both the student and coach.  The ultimate goal is for the student to leave coaching with skills they can use for a lifetime.
